| ECRI Institute investigates an infant bassinet fire |
| A fire that burned an infant in a bassinet at a Minnesota hospital may turn out to be a one-of-a-kind incident.
The infant suffered burns after flames broke out while the baby received treatment from an oxygen hood. The fire occurred on January 22 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.
The hospital described the fire as a "spontaneous eruption of flames," according to a statement given to us by spokesperson David Kanihan. |
