TESTIMONIALS

Steven S. Wilder, BA, CHSP, STS, Member and COO of Sorensen, Wilder & Associates, A Division of CITCA, LLC in Bradley, IL

I’ve worked with HCPro several times, both as a webinar speaker and a source for their monthly newsletters. What I enjoyed most, and what impressed me most, was their dedication to excellence in preparing for the programs. We spent countless hours in preparation and rehearsal, which I didn’t expect, but they demanded. And while it was time consuming, in the end the result was several outstanding webinars with incredible satisfaction scores from the participants. They really went above and beyond to make sure every “T was crossed and I was dotted” prior to our show, and that I had all the materials and tech training necessary to put on an informative presentation. I look forward to more opportunities to partner with HCPro in the future!

Steve is a regular source for HCPro’s long-term care editorial team. He contributes his expertise in the form of articles for PPS Alert, HCPro’s long-term care newsletter, reviewing books, and conducting webinars. He most recently led Emergency Preparedness for SNFs: How to Plan for, Respond to, and Recover From an Armed Intruder/Active Shooter Event.

Janet Potter, CPA, MAS, Senior Manager, Marcum LLP in Deerfield, IL

I always enjoy working with HCPro and the Billers' Association for Long-Term Care. I learn so much from attendees as we compare how things work for billers in different parts of the country and exchange tips and tricks for improving processes. Many of the other contributors at HCPro have become treasured colleagues and friends.

Kerry Mills, MPA, Dementia Coach, Engaging Alzheimer’s LLC

Working with HCPro has been a real treat for me! I began my working with Delaney, who was the editor of my book, Serving Residents With Dementia: Transformative Care Strategies for Assisted Living Providers. She set the bar high as she was professional, responsive, timely and very open in communication.Since then, I have done two webinars and have contributed to a number of newsletter articles. The individuals I continue to work with exhibit the same qualities that were introduced to me through Delaney.

Kerry is a regular source for HCPro’s PPS Alert for Long-Term Care newsletter, as well as a frequent webinar speaker and book author. Webinars and books by Kerry:

Bonnie Foster, RN, BSN, Med, Long-Term Care Consultant

In 45 years of working in the Long Term Care industry, I have found that education, evaluation and empowerment are some of the keys to providing quality care to our residents.HCPro is one of the major resources in this quality initiative and I have been proud to be a long-time contributor. I have found their editors and associates to be professional and educated and always timely in the articles they have published. Every time I am approached to assist in writing an article, I know that it will be one that readers have inquired about and one that they will be needing in order to provide quality care and work through the federal requirements the industry has imposed upon us.

As a consultant, I always recommend HCPro as a resource for keeping up with regulations and ideas for improving facilities.

Leslie Cox, BS, MHA, CPMSM, CPCS, Senior Director of Banner Health’s Credentialing Verification Office in Phoenix

The opportunity to work with HCPro has been an unanticipated privilege I never dreamed was in the cards for me. A particular interest of mine has always been research and writing. I have envisioned this as a second career, but also as a way to continue learning and contributing in my current position as senior director of a health system central verification office. Having been a subscriber to HCPro products for several years, I received an email invitation that went to all clients, soliciting interest in membership on the News, Analysis, and Education Board for HCPro’s Credentialing Resource Center (CRC), an online membership that provides medical staff professionals, medical staff leaders, and quality directors with a collection of timely tools, best practice strategies, and compliance tips developed by credentialing, privileging, and peer review experts.
I quickly filled out the application and submitted it, without any expectation to be selected as a board member, and, much to my surprise, I was selected! After getting to know the editorial team, I was asked to contribute on several occasions to the Credentialing Resource Center Journal
, a monthly newsletter exclusively for CRC members, which has been a wonderful experience and excellent learning opportunity. This role has fulfilled my dream to write! HCPro later asked me to lead a webinar based on one of the columns I had authored. This was a new experience for me, taking me out of my comfort zone, but was very rewarding. The team from HCPro provided the professional guidance I needed to lead a successful webinar. I plan to continue contributing to HCPro journals and perhaps other projects as a field expert, if asked.
My advice: If an opportunity comes knocking, answer it. Don’t give it a second thought. That opportunity might be the first step in fulfilling a lifelong dream!

Leslie is a frequent contributor to CRC’s Credentialing Resource Center Journal. She’s also an active member of CRC’s News, Analysis, and Education Board, where she contributes to key membership products and initiatives, including the forthcoming 2017 MSP Salary Survey Report. Leslie led HCPro’s June 2017 webinar for medical staff and credentialing professionals, “Credentialing Case Study: How Banner Health CVO Streamlined Workflows and Improved Customer Satisfaction.”

Kathy Matzka, CPMSM, CPCS, FMSP, Independent Medical Staff Consultant, Author, and Speaker in Lebanon, Illinois

HCPro has long been a leader in providing cutting-edge, relevant, and informative educational materials and conferences to medical services professionals, medical staff leaders, hospital administrators, and board members. The resources for credentialing and privileging and other medical staff support functions are easy to understand and to implement and have saved hospitals and other healthcare organizations much time and resources. As a consultant, I regularly recommend these resources to my clients.
I have been contributing to articles for over 20 years and have written or contributed to over 20 books published by HCPro. In all cases, the editors and staff have been a pleasure to work with. They have shown great respect for my experience and knowledge and have always provided the necessary resources and support needed to get a job done.

Kathy has been a trusted expert in HCPro’s medical staff and credentialing market for more than two decades. Her recent contributions include coauthoring Verify and Comply: Credentialing, Medical Staff, and Ambulatory Care Standards, Seventh Edition—HCPro’s wildly popular compliance manual for medical staff and credentialing professionals—and sharing expert forms and guidance featured in The Credentialing & Privileging Toolbox: Field-Tested Documents for Compliance, Management, and Process Improvement.

Kathy also serves on CRC’s News, Analysis, and Education Board, where she contributes to key membership products and initiatives, including the Credentialing Resource Center Journal’s series on emerging credentialing environments.

Raechel Rowland, RN, BSN, LSSBB, Lean Practitioner at Ascension Borgess Health in Kalamazoo, Michigan

In my quest to become an expert in physician performance review methodologies, I stumbled upon HCPro’s Credentialing Resource Center through internet based research and what a golden find that was!Everything I needed to know about physician onboarding, credentialing, peer review, OPPE, FPPE, performance review, and so much more was a few clicks away. I immediately signed up for notifications and emails, and what I received was nothing short of phenomenal resources and support to build the infrastructure my hospital desperately needed. There are resources available to meet every need in a variety of learning formats. But that isn’t even the best part.

The staff at CRC will absolutely knock your socks off! They are extremely thorough, helpful, and customer focused. I felt encouragement from each one of them. I was very humbled by their willingness to help me with my unending queries and requests. I am a registered nurse of 30 years, and I give CRC my highest recommendation. I may try to sweet talk them into hiring me. Oh wait—they did!

I conducted my first live webinar as an expert in OPPE and FPPE in September, and the audience response was extremely positive. Not only have I learned information, I have synthesized it and energized it into a flourishing program that other people may choose to model! Thanks, CRC, for helping me grow my skill set and become more valuable to my organization and for the opportunity to pay all of that forward to other people through networking and webinar presentation. I am super excited about the 2018 CRC Symposium in Las Vegas next February and will look forward to seeing you fine folks there.

Raechel is one of CRC’s most enthusiastic new contributors. Since being named co-winner of the 2017 CRC Excellence in Medical Staff Collaboration Award, she has led HCPro’s September 2017 medical staff and credentialing webinar, “OPPE and FPPE Case Study: Award-Winning Professional Practice Evaluation Transformation,” contributed to several newsletter articles, and submitted performance measures for inclusion in HCPro’s forthcoming medical staff and credentialing book, Performance Indicators: Clinical Specialty–Specific Strategies and Samples.

Raechel is also currently serving as a judge on the 2018 CRC Contest Committee, where she will help select the winners of the 2018 CRC Symposium Case Study Competition and 2018 CRC Achievement Awards. She plans to learn and network with peers across the country at the 2018 CRC Symposium, February 5–6 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
