Educating nurses on core measures

Providing nurses with information on The Joint Commission’s core measures is important in order for nurses to measure and improve quality care. Orlando Regional Healthcare in Florida educates its nurses on the core measure standards by attaching worksheets to their clipboards.
“We also did small group education on each of the units so the staff would have a thorough understanding of the principles related to the core measures,” says Mary Jane Magill.
