After a five-year journey to develop a safe and healthy culture for its staff, Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) in Portsmouth was recently awarded the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Designation—an award given by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
