Monitor the health of your HIPAA security compliance

Briefings on HIPAA, January 1, 2008

If you are responsible, directly or indirectly, for your organization's implementation of HIPAA's security rule requirements, you are probably aware of how much work still needs to be done. For example, many compliance and security officers openly admit that they have not performed a follow-up risk assessment or a compliance audit since the security rule became enforceable more than two and a half years ago in spring 2005.
