Pandemic planning resources for Native American populations can be found by following this link from the Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Indian Health Service. The Pandemic Influenza Workbook: A Planning Guide for American Indian/Alaska Native Communities, is meant to serve HHS' efforts to promote local planning efforts in battling the spread of pan-flu. There's information on how state, IHS area, tribal and other local public health authorities can work within jurisdictional requirements in coordination of procedures for the request, receipt, security, storage, and tracking of vaccine and antiviral medications.
