CDC Report Correction

Emergency Management Alert, September 4, 2007

Oops, sorry folks: We go 100 miles an hour at HCPro, and sometimes facts fly out the window. Last week, when we passed on the info about the Advance Data report, "Emergency Response Planning in Hospitals, United States:2003-2004," we wrote:

If you work for an urban hospital, you're ahead of rural hospitals in planning for explosive attacks--81 percent of urban hospitals had an emergency response plan addressing biological terrorism

but we meant to say:

If you work for an urban hospital, you're ahead of rural hospitals in planning for biological terrorism- 81 percent of urban hospitals had an emergency response plan.
