Venom ER
Emergency Management Alert, August 13, 2007
There are times when even writers for HCPro have their day's-fill of regulation and compliance. It's at these times we feel like surfing sites like Venom ER, the online version of the Animal Planet tv show. We're sure at least one of you has a story about a patient who arrives at the ED, pulls a fanged being out of a laundry bag, and says something like, "Doc, here-I brought the snake that bit me." For more about the show; for a list of venomous snakes in Southern California; and for the answer to the question, "Are there snake bite vaccines for dogs?" visit this site from the Loma Linda University Medical Center.
