Connecticut towns coordinate

The state of Connecticut recently simulated a massive catastrophe in an effort to coordinate the resources of several area communities, reported the Middletown Press.

The exercise raised the bar by simulating an outbreak of pandemic flu in tandem with a heat wave and massive power outages, and brought together emergency officials from four communities, one university, and two hospitals, the Press reported.

The simulation focused on emergency response, communication, and developing contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances. To read the article, click here.
