AHA survey unveils disaster planning trends

A new survey from the American Hospital Association (AHA) shows that hospitals are taking disaster preparedness seriously, with 86% of hospitals surveyed saying they have already participated in a large-scale community-wide emergency drill with external response agencies.

 

According to the survey, hospitals are also establishing communications plans and are prepared to add more bed capacity to their facility should disaster strike.
