New report examines ED care

Press Ganey Associates, Inc.'s 2007 Emergency Department Pulse Report: Patient Perspectives on American Health Care takes a look at the nation's emergency departments (ED) through the eyes of the patient, and the results are somewhat of a mixed bag.

 

While overall patient satisfaction with the ED has increased over the past few years, there are still many challenges EDs face when it comes to serving the patient. For instance, the report also showed that the more patients an ED processes, the less satisfied those patients were.
