OSHA officials unveiled on May 21 new pandemic influenza recommendations that they say provide comprehensive resources for healthcare planners and practitioners.
Pandemic Influenza Preparedness and Response Guidance for Healthcare Workers and Healthcare Employers contains infection control and industrial hygiene practices to reduce the risk of infection in healthcare settings. It also identifies OSHA standards that have special application to pandemic preparedness planners and responders in the healthcare industry.
