FEMA training in New Orleans

Emergency Management Alert, June 4, 2007

Last week's FEMA training in New Orleans drew more than 700 emergency responders from nearly every state to train on a wide variety of equipment designed to aid first responders during an emergency.

 

The equipment is part of the Department of Homeland Security's FEMA's Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP). The training also focused on 19 "high-risk" departments, who were trained on equipment designed to improve incident communications, the agency said.
