Personal protective equipment changes are on the horizon

OSHA has proposed revisions to its personal protective equipment requirements.

Broadly speaking, the agency wants to:

  • Require that personal protective equipment be manufactured in accordance with updated industry design standards
  • Delete dated provisions in its ventilation and welding standards regarding certain personal protective equipment, with the idea that this equipment will need to comply with other updated OSHA standards

If you have comments on these revisions, you need to submit them to OSHA by July 16, 2007.
