A ban on smoking cigarettes on the campus of Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, AK, is about to get tougher.

As of June 1, the ban will become a city law. After that point, the city will have the option of issuing a $50 fine to anyone who violates the law, the Associated Press reported.

The areas under the ban include the hospital, parking areas on the campus, and the streets and sidewalks adjacent to the facility's buildings.
