As part of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), hospitals need to be familiar with a 17-point implementation checklist published by the government.

NIMS sets a variety of national requirements for community response plans, including healthcare facilities. Some of the 17 points for hospitals constitute requirements that tie into federal emergency planning funds.

To learn much more about NIMS, join us for our live audioconference next Tuesday, March 27, starting at 1 p.m. Eastern.

Our speakers include Albert Fluman (acting director of the U.S. NIMS Integration Center) and Mel Stibal, RN, MBA (administrative director of emergency and trauma services at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL). Both speakers will share their experiences with hospital incident command setups and related regulations.
