Unannounced Joint Commission surveys make a good argument for centralized, easily accessible data collection and reporting.

Tracking EC information can be difficult without a centralized data system in place because safety extends across all departments and it's difficult to take a piecemeal approach when following up on projects.

Automated data reporting can help you

  • conduct surveillance rounds
  • develop and track performance indicators
  • perform laboratory inspections
  • evaluate infection control risk assessments

If you'd like more details about centralized EC data collection, check out our January 25 audioconference, Joint Commission Environment of Care Compliance: Readiness Strategies for Unannounced Surveys.
