At least 100 million influenza vaccines-the most ever in supply-will be available for this year's flu season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) predicts.

CDC officials recommend vaccinations for adults 50 and older, children ages six months to five years, and people with chronic diseases, as well as the relatives and healthcare workers who take care of them, according to a report in the Baltimore Sun, October 6.

For more information on CDC influenza vaccine recommendations see Prevention and Control of Influenza.
