The Network of Employers for Traffic Safety urges businesses to put the brakes on workplace traffic injuries and fatalities by sponsoring "Drive Safely Work Week," from October 2-6. This year's campaign, "Safe Driving is YOUR Responsibility. Make the Commitment," offers 10 steps for responsible driving for employers to share with staff.

Highway incidents accounted for one out of every four work-related fatalities nationally and was the most frequent cause of death among healthcare workers, according to a report by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
