New hazardous waste manifest form in effect

As of September 5, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires all hazardous waste generators--including hospitals, when applicable--to use a new form.

The EPA's revised standardized hazardous waste manifest form allows for better tracking of shipments and makes it easier to collect information for hazardous waste reporting, according to the EPA.
