Fatalities, increased healthcare costs, and reduced workplace productivity from cancer is the focus of the 2006 Labor Day CheckList issued by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). Controlling Cancer in the Workplace suggests actions for both employers and employees to take on prevention, screenings, early detection, and exposure reduction.
Every year the ACOEM posts a Labor Day checklist on a timely occupational health and safety issue. Checklists for previous years included
