The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) encourages healthcare employers to celebrate Environmental Services and Housekeeping Week, which takes place September 10-16. The theme, "Extraordinary People, Extraordinary Work," captures "the significance of the people who perform the myriad of duties that is healthcare environmental services and housekeeping and showcases the integral role these people play in delivering high-quality care, safety, satisfaction, and infection control practices for the patients and communities they serve," says an ASHES news release.
