Nurses suffer high incidence of occupational asthma

Work-Related Lung Disease (eWoRLD) Surveillance System, produced by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, shows that registered nurses have a high incidence of occupational asthma cases among occupations studied. Nurses ranked highest in the managerial and professional category and were second only to assemblers in manufacturing.

The report tabulated work-related asthma cases in California, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New Jersey from 1993 to 1999
