FDA: Faulty oxygen tanks may ignite

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have published a joint public health notification alerting healthcare workers to the danger of fires at the interface of oxygen regulators and cylinder valves. Many incidents occur in the ED, according to the report, Oxygen Regulator Fires Resulting from Incorrect Use of CGA 870 Seals. Find it on the FDA Web site.
