AORN seeks comment on radiological exposure guidelines

There is still time to comment on the practices for minimizing patient and healthcare worker exposure to radiation in the operating room posted by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).

Recommended Practices for Reducing Radiological Exposure in the Perioperative Practice Setting presents 11 guidelines adaptable to a variety of practice settings, including traditional operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, cardiac catheterization suites, endoscopy suites, radiology departments, and other areas performing operative or invasive procedures.
