The record flooding in New England this week led to at least one evacuation of a healthcare facility.

Water filled the first floor of a nursing home in Lawrence, MA, forcing authorities to remove 243 residents on Tuesday, including some folks in wheelchairs and on stretchers, the Associated Press reported.

The state's governor watched the evacuation, which included rescuers taking evacuees over a makeshift plywood bridge that went over floodwaters, according to the Associated Press.
