A day to appreciate safety officers

This is the first year that the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has designated a day "to recognize the ongoing efforts of occupational safety, health and environmental professionals to protect people, property and the environment," said a March 28 ASSE news release.
For more information on "Occupational Safety and Health Professional Day" and the "North American Occupational Safety and Health Week" in which it occurs, go to the ASSE Web site.
