NYC's hurricane plan is lacking, lawmakers say

Some New York state lawmakers are underwhelmed by New York City's hurricane evacuation plan.
In fact, members of a State Assembly committee told The New York Times that the city's plan doesn't use an effective strategy for evacuating patients from hospitals and nursing homes.
However, the city's Office of Emergency Management retorted that the plan is still undergoing review and any criticism before revisions are complete is premature, The Times reported.
