In 2005, the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) held a contest asking members to scruitinize a cartoon depicting an operation for violations of AORN's recommended practices for appropriate technique in the operating room.
Only two out of more than 1,600 entrants found all 25 violations. The cartoon is now available on the AORN Web site and can be used as training tool.
Click here to view the cartoon and see how many violations you can identify.
