NQF, NCQHC announce merger

Two influential national quality organizations, the National Quality Forum (NQF) and the National Committee for Quality Health Care (NCQHC), have announced a merger intended to bridge and integrate diverse efforts across the country to enhance quality in the nation's healthcare system, according to a press release from NQF.
NQF is the nation's standard setter for healthcare performance measurement. NCQHC is an organization of health industry leaders focused on improving quality. The newly reconstituted entity will still be called the National Quality Forum. Janet Corrigan, PhD, most recently CEO of NCQHC, will be the new CEO of NQF.
