In order to create an environment of "safety conciousness" in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) offers the following safety reports and operation checklists on its Web site:
- Report on patient safety in ASCs
- Preoperative patient safety checklist
- Postoperative patient safety checklist
- Office-based surgery report
- Office-based surgery preoperative checklist
- Office-based surgery postoperative checklist
- Dietary supplement intake form
