You have two weeks to comment on a proposed new emergency generator testing requirement from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The proposal falls under environment of care (EC) standard EC.7.40. If finalized, a new element of performance would require facilities to test their emergency generators for four continuous hours at least every 12 months.
