Hospitals in Detroit have taken the initiative to get themselves involved with local authorities in planning for the Super Bowl, which takes place in the city on February 5.
Hospital representatives have helped police develop a security plan for the big game, and clinicians plan to track any spike in disease symptoms, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Meanwhile, Henry Ford Hospital will set up a hotline during the week leading up to the Super Bowl that National Football League staff and guests will be able to call if they have medical problems, the Free Press reported.
