FDA posts healthcare PPE information

A new series of Web pages on personal protective equipment (PPE) and patient care appeared on the Food and Drug Administration Web site on December 12. The information covers general PPE instructions and restrictions on purchasing, re-using, cleaning, sharing, and disposing of PPE in healthcare settings. There are individual pages for PPE and influenza masks and N95 respirators medical gloves surgical gowns Each page provides a link to search for FDA-approved PPE.
