The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) received another report on July 12 of imposter surveyors trying to enter a hospital.

Two people posing as surveyors attempted to get into an unidentified hospital in Seattle, according to a notice sent by the JCAHO to all accredited facilities on August 3. The hospital also alerted local police and the FBI.

The JCAHO reiterated that all legitimate surveyors carry JCAHO ID badges and a letter from the accreditor. Hospitals are also free to call the JCAHO to verify the identity of any surveyors.
