Husband shoots, critically injures wife outside AZ hospital

A temporary nurse remains in critical condition after her husband shot her as she walked out of an Arizona hospital last week, reports the Arizona Daily Star.
Moments after the shooting outside St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, the husband shot and killed himself as a police officer chased after him.
Doctors and other hospital personnel responded quickly to the scene to administer first aid to the husband and wife.
The motive for the shooting is unknown. There were several witnesses to the shooting, and the victim was able to identify the shooter as her husband.
Following the shooting, hospital officials put the facility on lockdown for an hour.
