NYC patients test clean for anthrax

Emergency Management Alert, May 24, 2005

The three New York City patients who claimed they came in contact with an unidentified white powder last Thursday are not infected with anthrax, Reuters reports.

Emergency room physicians at Brooklyn's Wyckoff Heights Medical Center made the determination hours after the patients walked into the hospital at 9 p.m. with an envelope containing the substance.

Police and health officials are investigating the source of the white powder.
