Overall hospital fines dropped, but bloodborne penalties went up $27K

The good news is that overall fines against hospitals by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are down from a year ago at this time. The bad news is that if your site has bloodborne pathogen violations, the penalties are stiffer now than before- 41% from last year.
