A liquid oxygen tank leak forced a military hospital in Nebraska to evacuate about 500 employees and 30 patients on April 21.
The 600-pound tank provided medical oxygen to Ehrling Bergquist Hospital, which is part of Offutt Air Force Base. A contractor stopped the leak after closing a stuck relief valve, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
After being evacuated, at least one patient continued to receive treatment in a tent set up in the hospital's parking lot. However, many of the clinicians at the hospital are used to far worse conditions in combat zones, so the evacuation and response went smoothly, reported the World-Herald.
