Proposed relaxed cell phone policies for planes revive a hospital debate

A recent proposal by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to allow cell phone use on airplanes may find its way into your hospital policies. Although the FCC proposal has no direct connection to medical sites, the potential relaxation of airline rules illustrates the need to examine and balance safety issues against expanding cell phone use.
