A bomb threat called into South County (RI) Hospital last week required the help of the local police, The Narragansett Times reported.
Police arrived at the hospital shortly after a switchboard operator received a call from an anonymous woman, who declared that several bombs were planted around the hospital.
Hospital security and the police officers checked the facility's perimeters, but only discovered one unusual package. Within minutes, police found the owner of the package.
"Once the owner was located, we cancelled the call before the bomb squad ever arrived," South Kingston Detective Mike Nolan told the Times. "It just turned out to be nothing, really."
The police finished the search within an hour and no one had to evacuate the building.
