Hospital security increases after visitor assaulted

Jackson-Madison County (TN) General Hospital officials stepped up security last week after a carjacking of an elderly man on hospital grounds, the Jackson Sun reported.
James Michael, 91, left the hospital after visiting a patient, when he was carjacked in the parking lot. He sustained no injuries.
Jackson police are investigating the case. There are no suspects.
The hospital increased security officers patrolling the campus and added some police officers as well following the incident, Vice President of Hospital Services James Ross told the Sun.
