Recently-established ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), or facilities that are ready to re-apply for accreditation by the AAAHC, will have the opportunity to participate in educational conferences to assist them in that process.
According to information posted on the AAAHC's Web site, the organization will host a series of two-day "Achieving Accreditation" conferences throughout 2005, in a variety of locations across the country. Scheduled conferences include March 4 and 5 in Charlotte, N.C.; June 24 and 25 in Denver; September 23 and 24 in Baltimore; and December 2 and 3 in Las Vegas.
The "Achieving Accreditation" educational events are in-depth and interactive programs developed to instruct ASCs preparing to take the AAAHC survey, either for the first time or for reaccreditation. Participants will have an opportunity to work with AAAHC surveyors to gain a better understanding of AAAHC standards, practices and procedures.
Facilities interested in learning more about the "Achieving Accreditation" conferences and the cost to attend can call the AAAHC at 847/853-6060, or register at the Web site (www.aaahc.org).
