CDC releases information about tsunamis

Emergency Management Alert, January 13, 2005

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released last week information regarding tsunamis. Following the tsunami in the Indian Ocean that took an estimated 155,000 lives, the CDC discusses the health effects of such a natural disaster.

Tsunamis can be a breeding ground for infectious disease outbreak like malaria and respiratory diseases.
