CDC announces annual public health conference

Emergency Management Alert, January 13, 2005

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced last week that its annual public health preparedness conference will be held on February 22-25 at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta.

Approximately 500 public health professionals will meet to discuss the conference's theme, "Building state and local preparedness: A strong foundation for national response."

This conference will provide a forum for public health leaders and technical experts to share promising practices and learn practical approaches to developing and enhancing public health plans, infrastructure, and systems in preparation for and in response to bioterrorism, emerging infections, and other public health emergencies.
