A Winter Park (FL) Memorial Hospital worker suffered burns to 97% of his body and died last week in an electrical fire, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
Thomas Connor, 37, and two other workers were moving electrical equipment in the hospital's basement when an electrical arc ignited the room, Winter Park's Fire Chief Jim White told the AP.
No patients were evacuated from the fire. However, Connor and another man were flown to another hospital for treatment.
The State Fire Marshal's Office and the Agency for Health Care Administration are investigating the fire.
