Emergency Management Alert, December 9, 2004

The Centers for Disease Control plan to release additional doses of flu vaccine sometime this month, the AHA News reported.

The 17.2 million doses will be delivered to high-priority patient groups and another 3 million will be delivered to state health departments.

Hospitals without flu vaccine should contact their state health department. The state is responsible for distributing the remaining vaccine.
