Homeland security chooses new training facility

Emergency Management Alert, September 6, 2004

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security selected another center for homeland security training in Indiana, the Associated Press reported.

The Muscatatuck State Developmental Center property, which formerly housed developmentally disabled residents in southern Indiana's Jennings County, will become a future homeland security training site.

It is still unclear what type of training will be offered at the facility, although the National Guard proposed conducting urban combat training there.
