Check out this surge capacity planning tool
Emergency Management Alert, August 6, 2004
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) released a surge capacity planning tool last week.
The tool will help state and local officials locate alternate healthcare sites during mass casualty incidents. Specifically, the tool locates and ranks potential alternate sites like schools, recreation centers, and stadiums in your region.
To view the tool, visit http://www.ahrq.gov/research/altsites.htm .
"This new resource is the latest example of how our partners are fast-tracking research and making new tools available as quickly as possible," said AHRQ Director Carolyn Clancy, MD. "We hope no one ever needs to use this tool, but we are pleased to make it available."
