Recognizing illness associated with chemical exposure
Emergency Management Alert, July 19, 2004
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will offer a live Webcast about recognizing chemical exposures and illnesses on Thursday, August 5 from noon to 1 p.m. (EST).
Since September 11, 2001, US concerns over a chemical terrorist attack continue to grow. In particular, the fear is public health's response to a large explosion where chemical or biological agents contaminate food, people, and products.
The Webcast will make healthcare providers and public health officials more aware of signs and symptoms associated with chemical exposures.
